Go live with the Inuit
You probably think we’re joking, but we’re not. An acquaintance of mine actually went to live with the Inuit in Greenland for a year, and it changed his life forever in ways that at least HE considered positive. You don’t have to be an anthropologist or philanthropist to do this; the fellow in question owned a retail store, and the store is doing better today than before the trip.
I’ll never forget how he looked upon his return. His eyes gave you the impression that although he was looking at you, he was also looking THROUGH you. He attributed this to looking at a barren white landscape for a year, but the fact is his OUTLOOK changed too. If you don’t like snow, there are plenty of other options. I’ve always joked that the only way I’d ever get a tattoo is if I earned it in a Maori ritual. Maybe I should kick my ass into gear and do it
That's great. But show me another.
